Our Goals and Accomplishments on the County Central Committee:

We are at a historic moment in time. The excitement and passion generated by the Democratic Presidential primary is bringing in hordes of new voters to the Democratic primary.  We need to channel this energy to transform our party and keep these voters engaged. 

Working together we can move beyond business as usual.  Working together we can solve the real challenges we face in education, health care, the environment, and ending the war in Iraq. 

Elizabeth, Carl, and Beverly have successfully fought to make sure that the California Democratic Party platform includes:

• access to high quality public education for all children

• universal comprehensive health care for all Californians

• economic opportunity and jobs that provide a living wage 

• public safety through crime prevention and community policing

•  environmental protection and reversing the threat of Global warming

• campaign finance reform and defending the integrity of every vote   

• a woman's right to choose  

• an end to the wrongful occupation of Iraq

Now we must work together to take back the White House and the Governor’s mansion to make these goals a reality.  We pledge to continue our work to make the Democratic Party more progressive and increase participation, especially among youth, women, and people of color.  The Democratic Party is changing and we are proud to be in the forefront of that change. 

Throughout our lives we have fought for progressive candidates and causes.   

We ask for your support on June 3rd so that we can continue this important work.
